White Electronics & the "cannot be found" CD

2 of my "can't live without" white electronics. Yeah! PSP and NDS :) Would have included my PS2 but its in silver to match the TV and DVD player. Ah... many people asked me what about the iPOD? Hahaha was seriously thinking about it until I saw the iPhone....... Still damn ex.... so gotta wait a while longer.... wait for price to drop, wait for me to save up!!! :)

Also, for the past few days I was running around CD stores looking for a album by a local artiste. She took part in TV8's one in a million competition. Yeah I know most people are Suki fans (she's sooooooo cute!) but I'm not talking abt her lah. The artiste I'm talking about is Ching... wait I go find a photo of her......



If any of u people are from JB, and remember the nightspot Stephanie (tts before it became Eskimo Joy) you guys will know they had a very good live band at that time. And Ching was one of the lead singers. Guys u all remember her right. Her rendition of "我们的爱".... aiyo... how to 4get!??!!!

Anyway coz over msn Ching told me her debut album will be lauched on 24 March... and from her website I saw the activities also. Then thinking its been already 1 week, JB cannot be so "ulu" as to still not have the CD on sale rite? So I searched high n low..... CANNIOT find!!!!

Luckily I got Ching on msn again... she told me ya... launch on 24 March, but album oni selling 24 April!!!! "Har???!!! HUH???!!!!" Apa lah... so they doing the "soft" lauch and "hard" launch thingy isit??? Like shares and properties... kekekkeke

Anyway she told me she dun understand also lah.... and since she's bz with all the activities planned out for her at Midvalley and Times Square, I din ask her much also lah....

I Found an Interesting Blog!

I found this blog written by this girl u see. Her name's Xiao Yu. Very, very refreshing and interesting views and comments she has. Always like to "sian" mei-meis rite? Go read her blog and know how some of the girls of her age may be thinking. Hahahahahha!

My Room (Semi-Done)

Ok... So one day I had nothing better to do....n i thought "Why not redecorate my room? - buy a new matress, some new pillows and custom make a bed with the side tables and cabinets" (After all I have a buddy doing interior renovations so surely, I can get a very good price from him!! :))

This is the partial end result. As you can see the bed headboard isn't quite finished. And I have 5 different wall shelves that are not here yet....

One little regret though.... I designed the bed a little to high for my liking..... (Yes, I even did the drawings, complete with measurements for my friend to make the furnitures. Things DO look a little different when drawn on paper hehehe)

哈哈哈！我又在做梦了。在现实生活里，多速人都在为了钱烦，为了工作烦，为了要怎样开心烦， 也为了男/女朋友烦。那还有人会去想拥抱，握手，和触摸的心意？

Alicia & 婆婆

This is 婆婆。 Well the girl next to her is my good friend Alicia. 婆婆 is 48 years older than me, that makes her 80 this year! She stays in an old folks home - thats where old folks who have no family/relatives to take care of stays.

It was by coincidence that I got to know her, through Alicia. Thats was about 2 years ago. Usually I try to visit her weekly but recently I've been slagging. Sorry my dear 婆婆!

Visiting an old folks home for me is usually a "heavy-hearted" thing. I always see a lot of the old folks, with no family to care for them. Some of them would also be ill, or having some sort of mild dementia. That's why they feel very happy whenever they have visitors.

Recently she's been complaining chest pains but she refuses to be taken to the doctors. As with most older generation, she prefers to have her own way of "curing" herself. So we would bring her to the Chinese herb stores and she would get what she wants. Although she's 80, she can be rreeeeaaallllyyy stubborn. :) There's practically no way of getting her do anything that she refuses to.

So I hope 婆婆 will continue to have a healthy life ahead. Alicia and me will continue to visit her, sometimes with friends. And I hope people will not just ignore the elderly, especially their own family members. No matter the problem or difficulty, our elders have worked and contributed to the society, and most importantly, brought us up without any hopes of rewards or gratitude.

My Dog

Let me introduce my "daughter" to you people. Her name is 小Q. She's a pure bred Golden Retriever . Born locally but her heritage comes from Thailand.

She's close to 2 years old. Birthday is on 27/5. :)

Bloggers = anonymity = no credibility?

I was reading up on my local newspaper and recently there are issues regarding bloggers in general. Apparently, local newspapers "should not quote anonymous bloggers as this was as good as quoting a poison pen letter".

Hmmmm and I guess it all boils down to human nature. If I'm singing praises, be it to the government, organisation or any individual, I would have no qualms about using my own name, of course. But if however I'm gonna say anything "not so nice", of course I would prefer to be anonymous.

Whether or not a anonymous blog has any credibility on any official/unofficial issues should be up to the relevant authorities to investigate. My feeling is that this is the same as the authorities receiving an anonymous tip. So if this tip is anonymous, are they just not going to do anything?

Yes yes... I agree that "blog postings could create confusion and feelings of hatred and bigotry in youths" but that's where education and responsibility comes in. The world is advancing every day, and although we do not need to embrace new technology unquestioningly, neither should we not understand it. Please do not try to "de-advance" just because it may create problems. Deal with it the right and proper way... pls!

And with regard to newspapers publishing any blog, anonymous or not, I feel newspapers are just doing what they are suppose to do. REPORTING. Bringing news to the masses. They are reporting that there is such a, such blog entry by whoever and they are not wrong. The free flow of information should not be restricted.

A blog is a blog. Its just a online diary, whether public or not. Its a person's opinion, a person's thoughts. Whether you believe what you read and see is up to you. Bloggers should be responsible BUT readers should be too!

Dumb n Stubborn

This happened in my office today. Errr.... not really a office per se. Cubicle? Nope.... that's not it. Its just my space/desk located within a ceiling height L-shapped partition.

After months of using a Wifi connection for one of the PCs on the office network, my boss decided that we've had enough of inconsistent signal from the wifi router. So we had the Ethernet cable installed and walaaaa everything was smooth as silk. However......

One of my "PC Idiot" colleague came to me and showed me the wifi USB adaptor from that PC we just "cabled". He asked : "So this is what we plug into the PC to get wifi connection rite?" "Yes" I replied.

"Boss is looking for the other antennae that came with this thing. You know where it is?"

"What antennae? There's no such thing. The only antennae we have here is at the router" and I pointed to our wireless DSL Modem/Router

"SO that's what the boss wanted" and he started to unscrew the antennae from the modem.

"WHAT THE F*&%$ ARE YOU DOING?!!" I almost shouted.

Then my also "PC IDIOT" boss came in and asked me "So I just need to plug in this USB to my home computer to get a wireless connection rite?"

"Yes, but unless you have a wireless router, you are not gonna get a signal from our router from 10km away." I replied... a little sarcastically.

"Yes I know! That's why I'm asking him (my colleague) to take out the antennae so that I can fix it at home!"

** I almost fainted **

The the edge of blacking out I told him "It doesn't work that way. The antennae comes with the modem/router. It's not a add-on. You can't fix it to a normal DSL modem you have at home."

Dig this: He gave me a unbelieving look and said "Nevermind I'll just take it back and try anyway."

So I whispered to my colleague : "If he gets a wifi connection by fixing this antennae to his NORMAL DSL modem, I'll chop my manhood off!!!"

Thought of the day : Why do people pretend to be smart even when they know they have absolutely no knowledge in what they are saying/doing or even thinking!!!
